Ruts happen. Knowing that something needs to change is the first step, but knowing what to do next can be paralyzing. The easiest way to inspire change is to go out and do something you’ve never done before or go somewhere you’ve never been.
Doing something new doesn’t have to be a major undertaking or something that requires weeks of lessons and commitment like learning how to play the guitar or oil painting. It can be as simple as reading an article you would normally pass up or walking a trail you’ve never been on. Deciding to do one new thing a week can kick start a sense of novelty, however small, and open your mind to bigger ideas and opportunities.
