Procrastination and excuses are the killers of all goals and dreams. They also keep to-do lists from seeing the light of completion and the maker of the list from knowing the sense of peace that can only come from a genuine sense of accomplishment.
Most things that we need to accomplish on a daily basis take less than ten minutes but when they linger in our mind it really weighs us down. One thing I read in Gretchen Rubin’s book, The Happiness Project, that has really helped me is if there is something you need to do that can be done in less than ten minutes, knock it out immediately. Don’t wait, “do it now.” Simple as it may seem, its been a game changer for me and I’ve been surprised at how quickly I can get through things that loomed large in my head as a time sucking task.
Make a practice of doing it now, right now.
