I try to avoid posting too many quotes but the one below by Stephen Hawking really touched me. It’s been an emotional couple of weeks and a tumultuous year for our nation. To be honest, I don’t even know how to make sense of it all just yet; I only know that we all need to stay hopeful and remember that there is always some positive action to be taken in the right direction.

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, wonder about what makes the universe exist,” he said. “Be curious. However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.”

We can no longer afford to be “too sensitive” (or self centered) for the news or leave it up to someone else to vote because “it doesn’t matter anyways.” We are facing real changes that affect us all. ALL. It may not be overnight, but what affects one affects the whole. Whether we are here or on another planet, we must learn from the past mistakes and strive for a better future. We must all take responsibility for making it possible, but most of all, we must believe that it is possible.
